Chiara Mela
She was born in Rome in 1989 and kept with her the desire to draw during her childhood and adolescence. She graduates from scientific high school and it is during those years that she becomes Chiara Mela, or simply Mela. She graduates in Architecture with honors and begins her path as a researcher and collaborator with Roma Tre University, which leads her to a number of publications and conferences in the field of city history and urban planning. Drawing is transformed into a tool for the representation of the city. Later, the need to preserve drawing as an expression of a personal world turns into the conviction that she can become a professional in the field of illustration. She attends the school of illustration Officina B5, in Rome. She works mainly on editorial illustration, collaborating with magazines and journals, especially with the independent magazine Left.
